New Demo Home Cinema Room Complete!

We’ve finished the demo room!

The cinema is now complete, barring some testing and configuration as we tweak the audio and video the demo room at our Market Harborough HQ is now complete.

We started by getting our final acoustic treatments ready to go and also dampening the equipment rack to minimise rattles.

Our skyline diffusers attach to the rear wall of the cinema. Diffusers help to reflect soundwaves in a manner that breaks up sound energy that may cause echoes or other unwanted sound abnormalities by dispersing the sound energy out in many directions. This helps the room sound more alive, open and natural.

Fabric Walls

Our fabric walls are starting to go up in the home cinema demo room.

Fabric walls look great and are acoustically transparent.

This means we can hide speakers behind the fabric for a sleek design, Important acoustic treatments such as absorption and diffusion/scattering can be placed behind the fabric, multiplying the performance of the sound system.

A subtle orange flash goes onto the top of our fabric wall system. Fabric styles, types, colours and textures can be mixed and matched along walls and ceilings in your home cinema.

Here we use the Orange in our company colours to frame the Casamance fabric walls.

AV Rack

Our Sanus audio visual equipment rack gets the finishing touches, the airflow system and the heat management mean that we can run our amplifiers at reference levels without worrying about the heat.

The rack fits snugly into our cabinet space and the trickle flow fan exhausts heat with an almost unperceivable noise, literally whisper quiet.

Remote Control

Above all our home cinemas must be simple to control! After all what is the point of having an amazing home cinema if no-one knows how to use it?

An amazing feature cinema room needs an effortless, easy way for owners to use it. We use a sophisticated control system from RTi, this means that the hardware and programming can do all the heavy lifting and the end-user is presented with easy to use, sensible button choices.

On touch control, which turns everything on and sets it to the channel or service you want to watch (such as Kaleidescape, Disney+, Bluray, ITV or Netflix).

Our dramatic mood lighting can be triggered, when a movie starts the lights dim down and the cinema feeling is carried through until the movie ends and the lights come up.

Projector

Our demo room uses the fantastic Sim2 Domino 4k Projector. Even with streaming services which only offer a lower bitrate the picture is simply amazing.

Kaleidescape

Kaleidescape is our source of choice and paired with a 4k Projector the picture quality is stunning. Kaleidescape is the premium home cinema movie player system that allows you to download and store full bitrate 4k movies.

It's expensive but is the only way to get the highest quality format, often exceeding even disc based physical media.

Curated from studio masters, Kaleidescape movies are delivered to your private cinema with the highest video quality available, and pure, lossless reproductions of the original motion picture soundtracks.

Proprietary metadata allows Kaleidescape players to present a personalized cinematic experience that goes beyond even the finest of movie theatres.

Its expensive, starting at over £6k for a standalone player, with movie purchases on top but provides;

The absolute highest picture and sound quality.

Downloaded movies with no reliance on the internet.

Movies are chosen and downloaded direct to the player, not streamed because of their sheer size. Pictured is the Extended LOTR Return Of The King, which is a massive 140Gb in size.

In comparison the same length movie streamed via Netflix at the highest bitrate possible would be less than a 1/5th of that size.

The first thing to suffer is the audio quality, Kaleidescape and Physical Media such as UHD Disc have significantly better sound. Next thing to suffer is the video quality, you may have seen this when streaming (even 4k) on Netflix, Prime or Disney+ when large areas of similar colour get blocked together.

Digital compression is the culprit, saving bandwidth to be streamed in real-time is a compromise. Kaleidescape is the no-compromise solution for those seeking the ultimate in performance.

Kaleidescape 4k Images on the Projector are absolutely stunning, even at 127” in size!
